Cataya harrow-mounted seed drill

The Cataya harrow-mounted seed drill can be optionally combined with a KE 02 Rotamix rotary harrow, KX/KG Cultimix rotary cultivators or with the CombiDisc mounted compact disc harrow. 

With various models of roller available, it is possible to specify a complete unit of soil tillage and drill that are perfectly matched to the prevailing soil conditions.

• RoTeC Control single disc coulters or, from choice, TwinTeC double disc coulters with Exact following harrow or coulter harrow on the TwinTeC coulter. For the Cataya 3000 Super, an additional Roller harrow is available if desired.
• GreenDrill universal catch crop seeder box (option)

The KE 02-240 has 4 tine carriers per metre working width. The incoming power is evenly distributed across these rotors. The trailing tines produce an excellent crumb structure and level the soil surface perfectly. Above all, the new KE 02-240 with Rotamix demonstrates its advantages on heavy ground and is ideal for optimum seedbed preparation, especially after ploughing.

With the KX Cultimix rotary cultivator, in a 3 m working width and for tractors in the 190 hp class, a very flexible PTO-driven soil tillage implement now exists that can be used as a rotary cultivator or as a rotary harrow.

The KX Cultimix rotary cultivator is ideally suited for seedbed preparation on medium to heavy soils.

The KG Special rotary cultivators, in working widths of 3 m, 3.5 m and 4 m, are ideally suited for seedbed preparation on heavy soils and for mulch sowing.

The KG Super, in 3 m, 3.5 m and 4 m working widths, is equipped with a high capacity gearbox for tractor horsepowers of up to 300 hp. The KG Super has reinforced tines as standard and can be ordered with hydraulic depth adjustment and oil cooler as options.

The mounted CombiDisc compact disc harrow in its 3 m working width is ideally suited to high forward speeds, especially when sowing with a harrow-mounted seed drill. With working depths of 3 cm to 8 cm, an optimum seedbed is created. The wide roller programme offers, for any soil type, the most suitable roller for the optimum reconsolidation.

Thanks to the QuickLink quick release coupling system on the Cataya conventional combination, the seed drill can be easily and quickly linked to the various AMAZONE soil tillage machines without the need for tools.

In this way, the most appropriate and versatile sowing combination can be put together to cope with the most diverse of soils and applications.

Thanks to the intelligent QuickLink quick coupling system, the drill combination can be very easily separated within a few minutes. As a result, the soil tilling machine is also perfect for solo use.

With its team work of design and performance, the Cataya, registered in the category “Farm machinery”, has convinced and inspired the iF Jury, consisting of experts and designers from all over the world. The jury’s evaluation criteria included, in addition to the quality of design, the finish and material choice, the degree of innovation and the environmental compatibility, its functionality and ergonomics and, finally, a visualisation of use and safety.

Due to the large seed hopper, re-fill times are reduced. Via an extension, the large seed hopper can be increased up to 1,730 l and thus offering a huge output in their class. Thanks to the all-round sealing, closing the hopper lid makes the seed hopper dust and splash water safe.

An especially-wide loading board, accessible via folding rear steps, simplifies the filling of the seed drill. The very spacious fill opening dimensions allows the quick and convenient filling process – not only from big bags and front end loader buckets but also from sacks. The hopper lid, with its integrated loading aid, serves to provide a comfortable and loss-free filling of the seed hopper.
